I now have tried both and can't feel a difference in the handling.

They are both awesome.

The conti lasted 5 K miles (hard riding though)

£164 for ContiRoad Attack (ride in, ride out)
£206 for Metzler Z6 (Ride in, ride out) but they don't have them in stock.

Think i'll give the conti's a try. Though i worry that i only got 5k out of the D220 when people are getting 8k our of more sporty tyres being a fat ******* must have some effect
