Thanks for all help and info you all gave me. Here is a cell phone photo of me curvy with a '00 GSXR front end. I painted the wheels black so they sort of match. The next project for the bike is a 5" rear wheel. I used Trail-Tech Vapor gauges, very small and high tech looking with all the bells and whistles. New paint (OEM color with more metal flake) with some offset rally stripes. Fox shock, Hotbodies undertail and LED tail lights.

Northwind, I would like to know where you got your seat cowl from. The Targa P.O.S. I have leaves nice holes where the sissy bar used to be and I haven't come up with a clever idea of filling them in yet.

Nice bike Strange Brew! Obviously I'm a sucker for stripes, but there's more going on than meets the first glance too. Lovely. Superb choice of colour too.

The seat cowl's an official suzuki one, but it didn't come with the fillers either, they're from Banditmania in the UK. RIdiculously expensive for 2 blocks of fibreglass and filler, but you could make your own easily enough with the filler of your choice... I like the shape of your cowl though, it's just a wee bit more rounded I think

Thanks Northwind, That'll be another winter task since fiberglass resign and I don't get along very well. But give me a chuck of aluminium and a file!

Also the bike is now 15lbs lighter (oem blinkers, stock guages, pass pegs, steel bars, **** load of cables you don't need...all gone), 10lbs just from the stock tripples/stem/forks. I could'nt believe how heavy that junk was when I pulled it all off. Some W.I.P. photos

Yep, that's how to do lightening... Don't **** about making things lighter, just take 'em off entirely Any time I have a spare afternoon and an inkling to mess with the bike, I like to just go and weigh stuff and replace things and chop bits off and move things, it all adds up and it's free, and it keeps me off the streets

How did you get on with the tach on the Vapor? A lot of people report problems with inconsistent readings...

yeah, the rpm guage tends to jump around. Reads good for about 4 seconds, then it's high and then reads low, the cycle repeats every 6 seconds. I've been talking to the trailtech guys, they're only 40 miles from me. When I get it worked out, I'll post a white paper on settings and install. Everything else is spot on, high beam, blinker, neutral, oil, temp(engine and air), speedo.

Dang. I was hoping they'd sorted that.

On my YZ450F it appears to work much better and the only difference is dirt bikes are AC.
