I don't consider secondhand part to be bling, all were sourced from relevant people after a lot of nagging.

Cheers DD! I had a bit of a fiddle with the ignition unit, but nothing that a round file couldn't sort out.
Got to replace the throttle cables though as the outer sleeve has given up the ghost.
Only need to get the new tyre fitted (going with a 120/70 Z6), pick up a pair of heli-bars or the like and finish off placing the hall efect sensor.

Wasn't too sure if these K7 750 forks would work out, but I really do like it!

The only odd bits, in my opinion, are the gold stanchions (too bling for the SV) and the black lower fork assembly. I don't know why but I always feel it looks better when it matches the swingarm colour (odd I know).

It's a fair point. There were a couple of reasons I went down this route.
The main reason was the fact that the gold forks would have just looked wrong against the blue and silver of my bike, the black does work better (apart maybe for the gold bits), This of course means that in the future I might have to look at what I can do with the swing arm and rear wheel...
The second reason is that I picked up the forks, bottom yoke, spindle, and fender all for less than £300 - all in absolutely mint condition.
Thinking about the amount of black that there is on the front end now, I may get the wheel powder coated silver - dunno yet.

Dave, you'll agree that we always need to leave ourselves with a reason to fettle

I would go with silver, but thats my opinion and after all it is your bike and your decision.
