good good thought they couldn't be worth anywhere near £200 . I just paid £56 for new goodridge one's + new s/s banjos and they're worse than the ones I took off

They are past their best after 2-3 years depending on use, I think UV exposure degrades them too but I'm not sure about that.

It's not a tankslapper until it knocks the pads back in the calipers.

Exactly and a steering damper will do little to help with a minor headshake.

...and the front tyre chirps as it goes lock to lock!

Don't just bolt on a damper, you're simply masking the symptoms of another issue and it will affect low speed manouverability.

Have you set the sag on your suspension, for your weight, so that the springs are operating in the correct part of their range?

Have you checked that the steering head bearings aren't worn/loose/too tight?

Have you checked front and rear wheel bearings to makes sure there is no play? And, for that matter, the swingarm bearings.

How worn are your tyres? Once mine start to square off a bit then I get a bit of a weave on if I'm on the transition from the sidewall to upright. It's nothing to worry about but if it bothers you get some new rubber.

HTH.

yup or tyres, or a nice can, or a new front end or atleast upgraded springs and a change of oil or like chris said the new rear shock.
