Looks top heavy to me with the weight of those exhausts up that high. A collector box under the bike like the Buell is the way to go to keep the weight down low. And that fairing looks awful. I chose to have my K2 650s over a 600 monster and have no regrets at all.

You mentioned the SV1000N K6, but their not available in Europe, only faired SV Thou's I'm afraid...

Hmm, Multistrada

You must have long legs, because the seat height is ridiculous... Not sure on the styling but they get good reviews, and as mentioned, it is the older air cooled motor (still has that Ducati clutch though...)

Have you considered a Faser Thou ? You can get some great bargins on the current model, and the new one is only about 2 weeks away from release, and as a naked, it looks awesome.

For the amount of miles you do, and the way you like to personalise your bikes, have you considered one of the big retro machines ? Or even a Speed Triple ?

Just throwing a few ideas at you

Aparently they ride ok but not the prettiest bike around, what about going back to what you know.

I've never seen the point of a "practical" Ducati. If you're going to have all the expense/hassle, get a toy that actually looks nice and then buy an old BMW as a working bike.

Wait for the new Triumph Tiger!
The rumours are that the new Tigger is going to be a similar concept to the Multistrada (though hopefully prettier) and have the 1050cc engine from the Speed Triple. I'd guess that it will be launched around September and be available next Spring, so you might have to wait a while.

'More Cr@p than News' has some spy shots this week.
