I've been followed before and did exactly what bikage just said, go all over the place, change direction etc so its obvious if they really are following you...

After 20-30 mins I just pulled over to the side of the road and just sat there looking at em till they got out the car and then shot off before they could catch up

Hope your mate gets these *******s found and locked up.
Carry a length of cloth in your pocket for this eventuality

Wrap it round your head and claim to be a Sikh - they get to rid legally without Lids if wearing a Turban - which to me is just wierd.

Not making a religious statment or wishing to cause offence - just a light hearted solution to the problem via a loophole.

why bother carrying some cloth, when you can get some toilet paper in the pub toilets ?

personally i would have left the bike where it was ... and stayed at your mates in the pub and kept watch and then ran out shouting 'armed police' (joking)

True; someone I know got done for speeding because he was followed (on a very circuitous route around town, making it obvious they were actually following him) by a car. He ended up flooring it and trying to get away from them, then the blue lights came on. He got pulled for speeding. He explained why he'd run and they said that where he has been was a known spot for drug dealing and that's why they followed him. They didn't accept his excuse of speeding to get away, they said he should have driven to the police station at legal speeds instead if he was worried. I thought that was a bit harsh.
