You should be fine The SV is very stable, only had head wabble a couple of times and neither time was it scary. Same sometimes happens with the Falco on the bumpy roads when the fron is very light still not scary.

lol the only time a tankslapper on an SV is scary is when a ton of deer lands on your front end! But that is as rare as a tankslapper gets on an SV

Or when you're doing it while heading towards a parked car!

Only had that one ever on the SV and it scared the crap out of me, thankfully recovered just before I was about to bail out.

That was a good effotr at grave digging lol, this thread is two years old.

Apparently you can break your wrists with a really bad tank slapper.

Don't know.. but might aswell continue.

Had my first today, must of landed the front a bit off as I landed from a little flight off a large bump.

Felt the back touch down first, then the front.. Followed by the bars bouncing left to right for 4 or 5 times that rocked the whole bike..
Don't know whether they were bouncing off the stops or just close, but it was some bloody movement, the first sharp turn went left then right and gave my right wirst some abuse aswell..

Didn't do anything apart from the bike going slightly mental for a second or two, and get me shook sharply side to side a few times, feet still on pegs I think, stayed in lane on course.

Just one of those fun things.

I've tried lots to make the SV slap... landing 3 figure wheelies not exactly straight etc. Still doesn't flap all the way to the lockstops.

I doubt it would as standard, with a GSXR front end dropped quite a bit at the front (in comparison to std) it will though.

Was with a GSXR front, can't drop mine at all though as it would lead to the radiator and mudguard making friends on full compression.

Funnily enough, a different rear shock (SRAD750 first, then ZX6R), both of which are longer than stock seem to make it less flappy over bumps, and in bumpy corners (lots of those locally...)
