and IMO everyone seems to advertise things for more than they actuly want for the item for sale, expecting to get a bit knocked off the price.

£3500 seems a bit high for a 5/6 year old bike that has been dropped, particularly at this time of year.No one is buying now,so if you want it make a suitable offer and stick to your guns.Be prepared to walk as there are plenty more out there.

i tried over the phone, he was not budging on the price, although it was only a low speed drop with the bung taking the impact.

Try an Email asking for close up pics of all the damage. Then reply by Email with the price you see fit. Then let him say yes or no.When he says no leave it.He has your contact details to come back if he changes his mind.

Regarding the price - I guess it depends on how quickly he needs to sell. I sold my mint, less-than-a-year-old 06 R6 with about 3k on the clock for only a grand more, but I needed to sell it there and then

It's easy to say no over the phone to price negotiations, but I often find that if you're standing there with 3k cash in your hand then people are way more willing to negotiate!

totaly agree........ its a bit of a trek though, he said he will not drop the price, maybe if i waved £3000 in front of his face he would get all excited.......or maybe not

the problem i have is thats the exact model i want (2002 yellow & black 954cc blade)

i will leave it a bit then phone back with an offer of £3000
