You know the score with dog ownership, clearly so if you think it's right for you - do it.

Have you considered Greyhounds? Friendly, lazy (way, way more than you might think) and there are loads of relatively young ones that could do with a good home. The only real downside is they have brains the size of peanuts.

But more importantly, Greyhound v Labrador? Well, everyone knows pointys are better than curveys!

My one is also black... Which is of course the fastest colour!

Labs have a reputation for being greedy don't they?

Now I thought my little puddings were a bit chubby...

Until I saw this today!

Makes my boys look anorexic.

haha. Nice chap. Doesn't look much like a pure breed lab though. Is he a mix?

He looks like a show lab to me. There's two types, show and working. Shows tend to be stockier, shorter in the leg and generally more heavier set. Field/working lines are lankier and lighter set. YC's Bill was a show type, don't seem to see as many about now but might just be me. Then again there is so much variation among the breed as folk just like to crossbreed either type of lab, or just breed two labs 'cos they can which ultimately results in all shapes and sizes. But AFAIK, the general rule between show and field stock still stands.
