Hi all, i recently bought a set of used lower fairings for my curvy. they are definitely the correct type but I tried locating the n/s fairing the other day and none of the holes matched anywhere on the frame.
It has never had lower fairings fitted before. Do i need a set of brackets or something? Thanks |

Possibly --yes They don't fix directly to the bike

I've just found the correct fitting kit for my bike. There are a lot of bits and brackets!
Here is the link if anyone has the same question: http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/bu...73-430-010.htm |

That's the one.
If your bike suffers from the wet front plug syndrome, make sure you clean the drain hole, grease the cap before fitting it, pain in the Rse otherwise. |

Hi,i'm not familiar with the wet plug syndrome. I take it that's when you're riding in all weathers and this is a good precautionary measure?

Some SV's don't like riding in the wet, some more than others - mine didn't even like being parked outside :/
The problem is water from the front wheel gets on the front cylinder spark plug cap and can cause the front cylinder to missfire or stop working. Look here: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=81046 and http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php...69&postcount=6 Reason I mention it is because it's easier to do now, than once you have the fairing on and the bracket on the radiator. |
