Normally my pillions are slim ladies but next weekend I might take a
bloke who is not particularly slim. I thought it might be a good idea to adjust the rear suspension pre-load. The Owner's Manual says that I should twist the spring tension ring to the desired position with the adjuster provided in the tool kit. I opened (for the first time in 2 years) the tool kit but could not really decide which tool is the adjuster. So how does this adjuster look? And how does one use it? |

it is a spanner-
silver with a hook type scenario on the end..like a C spanner u just click it into the slots on the lock ring at the top of the rear shock and and apply the pressure to "click" the tension to where u want it. it is clearly explained in the manual.. u have the manual dont ya- if not I can scan it and mail it 2 ya! that section- not the whole manual !! ![]() |

u only have the owners manual!!.not the haynes manual! - i will scan it if u want mate!???

It's the one that looks a bit like a G.
You put one bit in the notches on the adjuster ring and turn. then watch the skin on your knuckles be removed painfully. |

cool- well done u
it does catch you out- I have a few scratched knuckles from it fells like it aint gonna move then ----whack it kicks across.. and makes u feel like u gonna pull the bike over at times |

It's also impossible to use unless you slip the extension handle over the end to give you the leverage (it's in the toolkit).
