Default Wheel Weight Glue

I had some new tyres recently and they rebalanced my wheels when the were fitting the tyres, In doing so they have removed one of the old wheel weights but the glue that was used to stick the wheel weight on is still on the wheel rim.

Any body know of any good tips to get it off, I am guessing a good soak with WD40 or some petrol oughta shift it

Tips anybody ??

thanks

Try paraffin and a small stiff-bristled brush to agitate it- I have a kiddie paintbrush type thing. I'm sure that's how I did it.

Im not sure what my tire fitter used to remove 'em but what ever it was... it removed the paint!

I would say WD40 or paraffin would be best.
