ok so what do u think should women be allowed to become bishops.
or is the church exempt from such 21 century beliefs.

i dont get involved in religion

apparantly after the Satanic rites, Salman Rushdies next two planned books were going to be "jesus was a chippies mate" and "buddha, you fat b*stard" but his publishers advised him against them......

If someone wishes to involve themselves in the higher echelons of this social control mechanism we call religion why on earth shouldn't it be a woman? I mean how sexist can you get?

I think there should be an agnostic option in this poll. They will want women Knights and Rooks next.

and women Kings. After all, we already have blokey Queens

seriously though, I don't see why any competent woman should be barred from career progression in her chosen profession, whether it's sweeping roads or running the country (Maggie Thatcher excepted). In fact, the Sex Discrimination Act forbids it.

And besides, the head of the Church of England (the Queen) is a woman anyway. So what on earth are they arguing about?
