Default police stopping bikes - a406/a1 falloden way s'bound

the police had half the road coned off just past the A406/A1 Falloden Way junction southbound this morning when I went past ~7. they were pulling bikes in at random, presumably for checks

Yep, they had the same in Camden Town this morning, loads of cops on bikes. They didn't stop me though, probably thought "ah, poor bug*er on a Ducati, if we stop him he won't be able to get the bike started again."

Cheers for that, hopefully they wont be doing it tomorrow morning, I got places to be. Did you get stopped? I often see police BMW's at the side of the road coming onto the A406 from hangar lane gyrotory with a nabbed car driver. Where do they hide?!

I got stopped on my way to the shop at about 11.40. I thought I'd sneaked by.....but the finger pointed at me and I had to pull in.

They were checking for valid insurance and valid driving licence, so I'm all in favour of that and have nowt to worry about.

Mind you, it's the first time I've been pulled over by the police and then hugged (They do like Girlsbike2, especially because I'm taking a trade stand to the Bikesafe UK show in March).

They were impounding a GSXR when I was there (no insurance) and one of the guys told me they'd taken a fair few bikes in so far.

Good to know they are doing a good job. It gets my knickers in a twist when people have no insurance etc etc. Just asking for trouble, it is
