Went to dealer where i bought my sv from one year ago to arrange a service. While there took time to look around and spotted the GSR600 instant love. Am now thinking do I trade the sv for a gsr . Iam torn as what to do.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? |

test ride the GSR see if you like it / prefer it over the SV. Its the only way you'll know.

Yep, it depends if you like it or not. IL4's are not for everyone.

Personally, if I was going to trade up, I'd want to trade up further. But it's a good looking bike, seems a good package. Give it a spin, try a Hornet as well for comparison

The gsr doesn't have a much torque as an SV or a Hornet and both have much better mid-ranges. The gsr makes a bit more bhp than a Hornet (but only a couple of bhp) because it can rev higher. Get a copy of this months Bike mag as the they have one of long-term test. They've had to fit a Power Commander to sort out the fuelling. There's also another comment in there saying that it's not as good as a Hornet. Good looking bike, though - try one and make your own mind up ![]() |

Also check the vibration on the GSR - have heard there's a problem with the bar weights not being heavy enough and the bars vibrating badly.

Heavy bar weights is just a fudge for a bike that vibrates more than it should, usually...
