I'm putting a route together soon. I need to find out if we are taking the whole day, or just the afternoon.

As "my" group are almost all based in West London, we'll be using the M40 (M1 still has the roadworks in the lower section). It's about 265 miles which I reckon will be the best bit of 5 hours including fuel/coffee breaks.

M40/M42/M6 is the most direct route.

If we decide to make a whole day of it, we may go via Matlockand the Cat & Fiddle, but I'm not sure about that yet.

Amarko or Mark Davidson when he appears before the magistrate is the guy way in the distance being chased by Taran. He is the site resident expert on the roads we will be riding on this jolly weekend. You will only ever see the tail end of his TDM as it disappears round that corner a mile in front. Thank god he cannot go more that 15 minutes without the need for a nicotine fix and therefore stops to let everyone catch up

Dr Rich is our resident BMW whatever bimbler and polisher. A damm pleasant chap all the same despite his peculiarities, I mean a BMW!. We only tolerate him because he used to ride an SV. Oh and has been known to get the beer in, so a damm fine fellow indeed.

Next question I know will be who is Taran
