They did this last summer in Jacobs Well, on my route to work. My SV made a LOAD of noise at 30mph in first I've never seen two old biddies spin round so fast trying to hit me with their laser gun

Better yet they may pursue on their little mopeds! I actually don't have much of a problem with them doing this. I pretty much stick the the 30', 40's it's mainly the eejit's in corsa's that speed though these zones anyway and they should be caught.

oh yeah forgot about that hehehe no doubt they'll be out there again this year... i just storm through at 30 mph and wave stupid busy bodies with nothing else to do with their retirement.... if they're ok enough to stand on corners they're well enough to go back to work

PCSO's aren't "old ladies" with HiFi jackets, they're actually part of the police service, just not allowed to enforce the law. As I said, they are there to advise in either direction, pass on information, report things.

If I had 2 letters I'd ask for proof that I was actually there.

erm, this isn't an old lady. I just guessed it was a speed watch scheme.

The facts are there is a PCSO standing by the side of the road.

Would someone like to speed past and check if they get a warning or points.

You wouldn't get points. There shouldn't be PCSOs using any form of speed detection equipment by the side of the road as this is totally outside of there remit.

I walked past her today, said 'hello'. She smiled and said 'hello' back. I checked her out, back of her fluorescent jacket does say Community Support Officer, she's holding a speed gun, it's plastic carrier case on the floor, and there was a clipboard next to her.

Survey of some sort, maybe?? I didn't want to ask.

Next time, run really fast towards her, then stop next to her all out of breath and gasp "Well? How fast was that then?"
