first up - Thanks a million for the GWS messages. Even more thanks to those on the ride for sorting me out. I really truly hope that you managed to enjoy the rest of the day. I feel really foolish for stuffing up like that.

On the up, the paramed was a babe and I had her all to myself for 40 minute ride to casualty. Guess what? She has an SV650 (sadly a pointy) and is thinking of selling. So I suggested she join the site, if only to sell the bike. Shame did not get her number, but I do know someone she works with! So Bethan, if you come on the site and see this - say hi! Oh, and thanks a million BTW, you were really nice to me. She is very speedy lady, when she told me where she was when she picked up the call. Anyone tell me how long she took to get to scene? (PM me - don't want her in trouble for going sooooo fast!!)

It's nothing that serious, a badly sprained ankle even though the paramedic was convinced lower tibia broke. Also very sore left shoulder and left shoulder blade. I landed on the point on my shoulder, so thank you Mr Heine Gericke for shoulder armour. I then landed flat on my back, so thanks again Mr. Heine Gericke for back protector. Without the armour things would be broken. So I'm sore, but not broken. Crutches for a few days and things will be OK. Crutches hurt the pulled muscles in me shoulder, but those painkillers are wonderful.

To kill the speculation, it was my fault. It would be nice to claim diesel, gravel etc, but have to blame #1 numpty. Went into the right hand bend wide to open the view (as recommended) and something caught my eye in the hedge. I pride myself on not getting fixated on something, but I looked into the bank and I followed! Simple as that and I am furious with myself! Lissa will confirm I was swearing like a trooper! But as she said, it shows I was alive! If I had looked down the road, this thread would not exitst. B*LL*CKS!

until its all sorted insurance wise best no comment is made on the reasoning I expect until Mike can come onhere himself.

I rode with Mike once - he's awesome on two wheels, a brilliant rider. So yes Quiff I'm very happy to confirm

It's the first time I've ridden with him and he's got such a smooth, controlled style of riding that seeing on the deck was a complete and utter shock.
Well thanks, but I think I managed to kill that myth today.

GWS
Perhaps if I still had those pants and was wearing them, I would have pulled her round.

Hey Mike, stop beating yourself up about it.

Even the best can make a mistake.

Of course it cast a shadow but it didn't stop us from carrying on and enjoying the brillliant roads you and Baph provided for us.

Fancy not getting that young ladies number. Now that is something to feel foolish for

Thought we might try and pop in tomorrow, if you're up for it.

Heal quick mate.
