I saw a busa today with Corona Replica Paintwork and it was the best Busa i have seen. I don't see much of a radical change in Mr. Suzuki's design with the new one though, still massive in everyway. Looks abit too bulky for me

Do you have a source of information for that claim? I know bikes are not a particularly aerodynamic shape, but I can't think of any reason why a GP bike would be a less aerodynamic shape than any road bike.

I've had my busa 3 years now and I still absolutely love it. yes it is overkill on the road, however coming back from Silverstone Formula 1 qualifying on the M40 yesterday I was playing with a Lambogini (?) an Aston martin and a masarati. getting up to 170mph with (a very ****ed off) g/f on the back. thats when it makes very silly sense. its funny though when the busa first came out, I hated its looks, but as soon as the black "stealth" model was released i was hooked. three things let the bike down though. 1) suspension is too soft which made it run wide everywhere. i took it to HM racing in orpington and had the front fork internals changed and the suspension set up by Ohlins. it turns like my sv now!!!!! 2) the brakes are appalling for a modern bike. mine are changed now! goodridge hoses, braking wavey discs and performance friction pads, still not as good as my sv brakes though. 3) fuel consumption is heavy. 300 miles yesterday cost me £65 in fuel.
2004 busa, dymag wheels, upgraded suspension, front braking wavey discs with carbon rotors, wavey rear disc with "hayabusa" logo lazer cut, harris rear sets, carbon Akrapovic race cans, pipercross filter, powercommander, deristricted, carbon hugger, carbon mudguard, iridium double bubble screen, crash bungs, fork sliders, ........and a very nice bank manager. I cant work out how to post pics but if someone else would post them up I'll pm them pics! ![]() |

![]() Strange to say though, given the right mood, driving my car is as good as the bike. I've had it 11 years now and it still gives me a silly grin. |

Perhaps Suzuki have bent the rules with the Busa, looks as though there is too much plastic obscuring the wheels for a start. More info here http://www.qsl.net/n5mya/aero.html Seen one in the flesh and liked it but too big, heavy and fast for me though. |
