You checked out your insurance yet? Bike insurance is cheap in comparison!

Yep. I really wanted an S2000 but the insurance was too much for that. So the next best thing (same engine too) was the Civic. It'll do until I can afford a Focus St.

My mate blew his Integra Type R up at Snetterton - oil surge was the culprit...

Worked at a Honda Dealership for a couple of months. They had a Type R in for repair (Broken conrod which left, stage right through the crankcase)with about 3000miles on the clock. Spoke to the mechanics & they reckon that they had oil issues.
They need to be regularly serviced & check the oil even more regularly.

Actually, it's not the same engine. Similar but different, the S2000 produces 240PS, the CTR is 198PS. Have seen one with a turbo though, that was rather interesting.

What a sensible person you are, no small "torque" there

I was thinking of adding a positive displacement supercharger! Should add abot 87 more horses! Realistically though, I probably won't be able to afford anything other than the Type R for sometime. Insurance is £1200 Fully comp which is not bad seeing as I only passed my test last week! I guess being older (29) and having ridden for a few years has helped. The Focus ST is dreamy. When do I get a go in yours? Don't worry I don't want to drive it. I've just never been in one.

I'll have to pop down to the GM meet in it one evening...

I went to "Ford Fair" on Sunday, more ST's than you can dream of, including one of the clubs owners with a modified turbo, intercooler, remap and turbo back exhaust system pulling somewhere in the region of 340 bhp! God save us

But until I get chance to take you for a spin, make do with these, as it got the "Kwak ZZR" treatment on Saturday....

I love my car too

I had the equivalent of the type R called the SI over here, but mine was a '99. It was great on gas even when you get after it a good bit reving to 8k rpm a lot! Mine had 112k miles on it and burned some oil especially in vtec...Doesn't really mean much as it was raced, had an adjustable, extremely low suspension, apexi exhaust, 8lb flywheel and 4 puck racing clutch. Was a blast to drive, but not very comforable and pretty loud engine wise. I loved it until it got stolen 8 months after I bought it...i got it back though, minus the engine. Good luck! They are great cars and lots of fun to drive.

If you want something more comfortable I would go something else...like a newer mini!
