lol, I'm basing my opinion on the fact that a housemate of mine's first year consisted of this for most of it:

typical week, watch a film for three hours on monday...analyse it in an hour to 2 hour discussion on tuesday...a lecture or two wednesday/thursday and an essay on the film watched to be handed in friday. when it came to maybe 3 in the whole year
my typical week: 9-5 days, 3 hour practicals and lots of lectures, i had about 15 exams in the year.

However, I know I chose to do a science and so that's perfectly reasonable. I don't think it's a completely wasteful degree but I think you can see what I'm getting at!

Years ago I was accepted to uni to study criminology and forensic medicine.. for one reason or another I didn`t end up going and it`s something i`ve always regretted not doing. I love my nursing but deep down I know forensics is where I always saw myself . I wish i could turn back the clocks
