Only if you have another reading from a second run which can prove the first is inaccurate, i.e getting one below 33bhp!

As for the laser full system I wouldn't expect much power from that, its technically a half system as you retain the stock front header but it may still tip you over the 33bhp. If you only want to be below 33bhp for one day then stick with the standard pipework, get it dyno'd and then put the laser system on. Safest way to fiddle it.

Dyno's read over true anyway, could argue that you restricted it so it was fine in the dales ... but at sea level its making more, loads of arguements there. A good brief would tear any case in these circumstances to bits.

It's shakey at best, and still down to CPS, and you've shown the good faith in it being restricted.

However... the usual arguements about informing insurance of modifications still stands.

hi.....some information that would be beneficial to all off you
my experience is...i have just brought an SV650S with a blue flame exhaust which the dealer restricted so that my girlfriend would be able to ride it since it is mainly for her anyway.
However we have just found out and checked with FI international who are the restrictor kit suppliers saying that it must comply with standard airbox, carbueration and exhaust.
Obviously a blue flame is not standard and i enquired into what 'STANDARD actually means for the benefit of the restrictor kit.
For it to meet the requirements and be road legal it has to be either a standard suzuki one or an aftermarket non performance one. And if it is not then you are riding with no licence or insurance for the bike
Thought i would let you all know the legal implications of anything other than standard exhaust while on a restricted licence...and also if anyone has a standard SV650s exhuast they want to sell, let me know thanks

Fi international talk complete b0llocks the rest of the time, I'm not inclined to believe them now

Aftermarket non-performance, which means what exactly? Insurance companies seem to rate that as adding less than 5% power.

Mine's limited by a throttle stop, so the full race system, shorty can, degutted filter are just making it sound nice and giving an extra dollop of torque in the mids compared to OEM restrictor kit. Still less than 33bhp.

just to let you know the main thing is that the bike complies with the certificate that states the exhaust has to be standard and although this is a right b***h. it would be even worse if you lost your licence and ended up in court because of it. i personally did 2 years restricted then took it off, spent money on customisation and handling and then after the 2 years started performance upgrades because i like to keep my licence and my girlfriend wants to do the same well keep her licence that is

Ive got a scorpian on my curvey... Hasnt made it any faster might have made like 1 bhp or something that combined with my BMC air filter probably made a couple of extra bhp not sure for certain, but its only a slip on can not a full system

No it doesn't have to comply with the certificate, it has to make less than 33bhp.
