Surely you could have got in a few trackdays, done some race schools, actually get your race bike running or even attempt to obtain a uk ACU racing license for the same cost?

All of which would have been money much better spent and what people have been telling you all along.
Not much a few hundered, I needed a break from work as well at the same time, I have been under a lot pressure and needed to get away.

Yes as I said on another post I spent my life being aggressive and driven and that was becasue I had too, I had no choice in the matter which got to this point in my life.

I am no longer need to be like that so, I am totally changing way I take on life.

I am aware it probally more through luck sometimes I'm alive (this not just on a bike), but I want to even the odds in my favour.

So sorry my comments were not meant to offened people in anyway at all.
Still trying to find the ambiguity in the following statement.

The thing that gets to me equally is this bit

This is advice that has been offered to you MANY times, usually in conjunction with "put the racing on the back burner for a year or so until you can ride on the road well".

The whole tone of your post was "look at me, arent I wonderful, I've been to Europe, driven on the other side of the road, am I not the greatest, and I'm braver than everyone". It wasnt just a typo, an accidental re-arrangement of a couple of words that changed the meaning of a sentence.

So it will take much more than a "I didnt mean it that way" in my book.

As Paws said, you obviously need to engage brain before posting, and once you have typed something up, read and re-read it if there is a risk you will misrepresent yourself.

I'll try to explain that statement without sounding like anymore of an idiot. This not an excuse, this why who I am. I don't want to talk about this after today, its past and will stay there.

I went through school being told I was usless, lazy ect when I asked for helped none was given I was told to go away, teachers were not intersted casue I was lazy. I hated school, they hated me. It changed me for the worse.

I found out at 21 I had an issue, I was angry with the world then and to a point still am (though some what relived it wasn't my fault) So from a teenager it was f*** off world, I'll do it my way which worked. I got a degree and job ect.

How is the relevant, well thats how I have dealth with everything being driven/headstrong. Well that doesn't work at all now, so I need to change quickly and to listen before I loose anymore friends or upset anyone.

Its not the easiest thing to say I f***ed up the fact I didn't want to hurt anyone, upset people that really is the last thing I ever wanted to do.

I do respect the people around me, I know it doesn't look like it but I really do.

So I'm very sorry for being an idiot, but I do know that I have done far too much too soon.

I don't know how else to express myself about this.

Agreed with all that SK.

Chris, i remember telling you way back to try and learn a few things about handling your road bike and some simple basics - remember the "follow me as i zig zag between the white lane lines on the A41" on the way home from Soho one night? Dude you couldn't even manage that and then you asked me... and plenty of others about buying a race bike. EVERYONE you asked said its not the best idea/waste of money right now/ go learn some skills first etc yet you chose to ignore all of that and go buy a race bike.

I do despair dude.

In all honesty i'd suggest you sell the race bike so it doesnt sit around and rot, use the money to pay for track days and bike safe and once... AND ONLY ONCE... people of greater ability than you suggest you try racing cos you've got that good then go buy a race bike and go for it.

None of us are trying to put you down/make you feel bad/ or hold you back in anyway...hell a lot of us would love to have the ability to race but know our own limitations, so dont think were just having a pop for the sake of it.

You really are becoming the epitome of the guy described as "all the gear...but no idea" and i'm sure you dont wanna be that guy.

Do you?

Chris; I'm peeved at the world too, i have a lot of hang-ups about thngs in my life...but theres no need to be agressive and so headstrong. Not having a go, but i've seen that good things come to those who just chill, relax, and get on with stuff slowly and carefully, understanding each bit at a time.

Oh, and you are right in saying it takes balls to say sorry and admit you messed up. I think a few people are peeved here (there is evidence to suggest!!! LOL) and you are trying to sort it out; good on you.

Just be careful with your langauge in the future. For example, I've just completed a 4-year chemistry degree at the integrated masters level...i could easily make that sound like I'm something special...but I won't, because at the end of the day I might forget it all by next week good foryou for having a go, but as you're discovering, the learning curve is very big. Hell, I've done 8 thousand miles on the road since buying my bike (jeez thats alot), yet I still have mahoosive chicken strips. No way would I wanna give racing a go yet, not even sure about a track day in the wobbly wobblers group!!!
