Well, my plans for bike surgery this weekend have all gone down the pan.
![]() Still waiting for disc bolts, so until I have them its a none starter. ![]() A friend of mine popped over last night so I could help him fit his DB screen to his new (to him) TL1000R. Why can he have new-bike-shininess and not me? ![]() ![]() I can feel a monster-sized sulk coming on. |

For your speedo pick up try this guy climb.high@verizon.net Tell him what parts you have used! Mine cost me about ?45 but that was a couple of years ago.

Ignore my earlier sulking post. Wilma went into surgery at about 6.30 this evening.
The surgeon went to work having first ensured that the essential tools were close at hand... ![]() Last edited by amnesia; 11-07-08 at 09:12 PM. Reason: Excess vodka damaged my little grey cells, and hence my spelling |

First stage...plastics removed, and Wilma bares all.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It almost makes me feel sad to see Wilma is such a condition. However I know she will feel better soon. She just needs a bit of a clean in some places... Last edited by amnesia; 11-07-08 at 09:15 PM. Reason: Excess vodka again... |

The only problem I have had during her surgery is that I don't have a torx bit with the hole that you need to remove the ignition barrel. This put a stop to any more work until tomorrow. (Apologies for the dodgy focus on the photo)

I was pretty bodgetastic with the torx bits ... battered the pin in the middle down with a punch.
Also how are you intending to swap the yokes using a spike headstock lift? P.s crackin avatar
