I have 3 options...

I can hold the bike up with one hand, and fit the yokes with the other.

I could go to the local tool shop and buy some skyhooks.

I could use the trolley jack I borrowed yesterday.

Perhaps I should turn it into a poll.

Good progress has been made today.

SV brake system dismantled and drained.

Magnets fitted to disc. Discs and tyre fitted to wheel.

Old yokes removed. Old bearings removed

New bearings fitted. Yokes fitted

Forks, clipons, spindle, controls all fitted loosely.

Clutch perch modified so controls and grip fit onto the clipon

I have taken lots of photos, but I only got about 4.5 hours sleep last night so I feel like Death. I will post them tomorrow.

Tomorrow's plans are...

Tighten everything up.

Drill fender for brake hose clips and enlarge fixing holes to take shouldered bolts

Fit wheel, fender, calipers and hoses. Bleed brakes, adjust clutch, check electrics

Go for a short test ride around the block to make sure everything is hanging together before sorting the speedo and refitting fairings.

Unfortunately, we had no spinich...so holding the bike with one hand while fitting the yokes and bearings with the other was not an option.

Couldn't find any skyhooks either...so trolley jack it was...kept letting itself down slowly though

When I am sure that I am happy with the GSXR stuff, all the replaced SV parts will be up for sale.
