Default BBC Coverage of T in the Park

I was watching this last night in great anticipation of seeing the awesome rage against the machine on the beeb given that they apparantly had got the rights to broadcast the whole thing and what was i greated with, hours and hours of waff indie bands and NO Rage. None at all, not even a mention by anyone at all. What on earth are the bbc thinking not showing this? As far Im concerned its an outrage especially considering that i only got to see them twice before in 99 and once in 2000 so its been 8 years of waiting and the bbc has failed me on this simple task.

They are supposed to be doing the coverage of reading and leeds festival this year which Rage will also be headlining at and i have a funny feeling that they will again fail to show this awesome spectical so some tit with skinny jeans and 60 quid haircut can prance about like an idiot in there place.

Anyone else think this is just a bit rediculous?

I was watching some of the coverage last night on BBC3, and unfortunately it was completely spoiled by all the talking between showing any action from the festival itself. It was the same with the Glastonbury coverage, a few songs followed by about 10 minutes of the presenters yabbering on about inane rubbish before showing the next couple of songs.

This seems to be what happens with TV coverage of live events nowadays (sport included), there is more time spent talking about it than actually showing the event they are talking about.

C4's coverage of BSB is the worst, not only is it on several days after the event, not only is it on at ridiculous o'clock in the morning, but out of an hour's coverage there is only about 20 minutes of actual racing action shown.

According to the Music Week on 6Music, Rage Against the Machine banned all photographers from the pit and wouldn't allow any fiming of their set.

So not actually the Beebs fault.

........must be releasing a live DVD for xmas.

Was pretty bored by them TBH. Partly my fault for not enduring the folk on before them and getting somewhere near the front. Could'nt see any mosh action either, always entertaining.

Not watched the TV footage yet, but hope it showed ol'Eddy Grant gitaring with his teeth, azz n' crotch. Lege

Yep, Rage's fault entirely, not the Beeb. I watched some of the coverage when I got in, seemed to be all Fratellis and Stereophonics but all credit to the beeb, they give the festival a lot of coverage. Actually, Rage amused me... Zack banged on for ages about fox, and biased media coverage, and about how The Man is afraid to let them speak... While simultaneously refusing to let the BBC broadcast it. Just plain daft.

And yes, they were brilliant- bad memories of Reading in 2002 almost completely eradicated (they were RUBBISH that day, Limp Bizkit outclassed them, and that's just not normal)

But still not as good as Biffy Clyro or Pendulum... I was a bit surprised by Pendulum, I'd decided to give them a fair run but I did not expect them to lay waste to the place like they did. Stunning stuff.

all in a top weekend was had at t in the park. hightlights for me were def- rage against the machine, the music, the stranglers and primal scream.

also was enjoying erol alkan (keeps kids dancing) and justice both in the slam tent. not usually my scene, but was getting into the dance music!

still gutted the rage stuff aint online. guess we'll just have to wait on the live come back tour dvd to be released at some point

Yeah, I wanted to see Justice but... Didn't, for some reason. I may have been in the food village eating strawberries and venison How good was that? £1 for a big box of strawbs, £4 for a buffalo burger, I think it was £4 for the mussels from Loch Fyne Oysters
