My PS3 is Boogared
Just finished level 3 of Call of Duty 5 World at war (anniversary present from Kerri).
Then the screen went blank and froze and now it won't read any games. Reckon the BlueRay drive is knackered  Really annoyed as I was literally excited like a child when I was putting it into the machine. On the phone to Sony me thinks.

Just phoned sony. They confirmed that the Laser is fubared. They are coming to collect it on Friday and it will be returned to me 10 days later.
Good Service but if the damn thing wasn't made in China in the first place they wouldn't have a 65% failure rate on these consoles.

Had the same with mine and they replaced it with a 'reconditioned' unit. The turnaroudn was about 3 days so not too bad.

I think they must have run out of units to replace mine with
I would prefer mine back tho as although it is 7months old it is pretty much brand new condition and hasn't had much useage.
