Cooooeee .org! Printer trouble :(

So mighty orgers can any boffins out there help me with my stupid printer?

I have a Lexmark Z735. This is my second now as I had to replace the old one because of the problem I am now having with this one

This is the dialogue box that it comes up with when I try and print something:



Thing is, the printer works, light is on, it feeds paper through fine etc., and when the cable is inserted into the USB port of me laptop it acknowledges it. But when I go to print it just won't! SOOOOO ANNOYING!

With the first printer I went to inquire at a little computer shop and he said it might be the USB cable so I got another but it didn't change anything. Could that be the problem now?

I've got a horrible feeling this is one of those pre-programmed things that apparently mean after a year or so of usage it packs up, I flippin' hope not, now wouldn't be a good time to do so! I bought it on the 6th Novemeber last year

have you tried hitting it with something heavy wont work but it'll make you feel better.

Try uninstalling the software and driver and re installing. Or stop buying 20 quid printers

I think this one was £25 They do a good job when they work though and I am but a poor student ! I'll try the uninstall thing actually I've got the disc somewhere cheers.

Have you tried the repair function before uninstalling it and reinstalling it?

Hes always got something like that on the rack under all them bungees

download the latest driver from the lexmark website.

tbh, lexmarks always do this.

erm don't believe there are repair functions for cheap printers...i'll reinstall the software then ve shall see
