Default Time to myself?

A rarity as im very close with my other half.

Shes off to Athens for 5 days, taking her mum (Xmas pressie). SO for the first time in 3 years, i've got the house to myself allllll week.

This means no longer chucking in a pizza for dinner the nights shes out. I've actually got to look after myself (will end up, curry, pizza, kebab etc ).

But im thinking what else I could do? Maybe take the thurs n Friday off (mon - Fri afternoon) n go for a blat. Shoot to the Dam for a few days, or France by myself.

Its been so long I've forgotten how to be an individual

Throw some man-ish suggestions

That's so true it's not even funny!

I always look forward to time by myself, but always get given a list of crap to do. I have to admit, it usually doesn't get done while I have free time though.

......mind you I look forward to time on my own, by going away. I don't get out much at all, and seldom have time to myself, Im Indoors does his own thing frequently
It was wonderful to get out on the Hardy rideout, but when i got back.....OMG I got home to chaos. I did surprise Im Indoors when I turned up early, I ended up doing a whole weekends housework in an hour, without even getting my bike gear off.

Lets just say he won't be getting caught out again

Going away for a night or two on the bike would be a great idea. As would simply relaxing, watching a load of footy / racing on the TV, etc.

When my Mrs goes away for a couple of days I usually get bladdered with my mates one night, stay in bed as long as I want the next and then get up and lie on the settee watching MotoGP re-runs.

my mrs is great, if she's going away she never leaves any jobs for me to do, lets me have the time to myself too.

wouldnt bother with the getting bladdered thing unless its combined with something else i.e horse racing or footy. you want to enjoy the spare time, not have the hangover from hell the next day which renders you useless...

First thing you need to do is get on the phone and book a cleaner to come on the last day for a couple of hours. That way you can do what the hell you want and not waste it doing all that cleaning rubbish.

Problem solved.

why dont you do something with some mates or just enjoy your own company and go for a ride and sightseeing?

Id certainly try and keep the house tidy at the very least

You could always come round and the the gearbox oil seals on my Volvo for me? No. Ok, thought id ask.

I always have a list of stuff that needs doing (For myself) when i get times like this. However, last weekend that i had spare, i spent it watching DVD's or round my Mum's taking her shopping etc.
