+1. I'd be prepared to consider the possibility of one or the other being innocent, but the combination of a picture that appears to show a clean, well painted cowl (even it is from a distance) AND a description that neglects to mention cracked, flaking paint appears to be an intentional attempt to mislead buyers as to the condition.

As to his response, the final price has no bearing on the condition of the item; if it had gone for £100, it's not like the quality would magically of improved, that's just the nature of an auction. The only time I'd consider this to have any creedance is if the listing had been a buy it now, priced £10-20 and the description had said something along the lines of, "the condition of the item is less than perfect and the low 'buy it now' is representative of this."

nah he means £36, so I declined and said no I'm not paying for the postage as you knew there would be an issue when you decided to post it to me.

This is my thinking, exactly what I would have done.
I'm still ****ed off cause even if paypal does give all my money back I'm still going to have to pay to send it back to the ****.

£40 for a second hand one? I thought they were about 45-50 new.
Either way, i would try and get a refund because that cracking is more extensive than was described.

£36 then, knew it was about that lol. But surely that's better than nothing? I'd take it, better than nothing and a fiver lost as postage isn't the end of the world... He can have negative feedback, then might save someone else making the same mistake, job done.

I can see why you don't want to have to pay the thing back to him, he should give you the £42 ideally I agree. However if he's gonna be such a **** about it then perhaps you should take what he'll actually give you and make do.

Well I reckon paypal will support me and strip him of everything I sent him and then I can post it back to him at my leisure or deliver it if I feel like a ride.
I wish he'd just stop being a **** and send me £20-£25 so I can spray the thing and not have to **** about.

Let's hope they do lol

IIRC the curvy ones are about £80 new. Although these days it is a rarity to find one brand spanking in a box so to speak
