Brakes? Lights? Economy (fair enough not really applicable with 33)? Handling compared to SV? Are they still using springs out of some jap engineers biro in the front forks? Any space under the seat? Does the front plug still cut out? Do you get covered in $hit due to lack of mudguarding? Etc.
Brakes and suspension seem to be exactly the same as the SV (pretty poor), so I can see most owners upgrading just as they do with the SV.

Space under the seat for a couple of cream crackers (without butter).

Not sure if the front plug still cuts out - I rode it in rain and it didn't. Still got that useless short front mudguard on though, so it will probably be a problem for some.

Lights seem to be slightly better than the SV on high beam, but on dipped are on par.

And yeah, you properly get caked in sh*t because there's no mudguard and the tail is quite thin due to the styling.

.....and that you'll nevr be able to get the seat off because all the road cack will get in the lock thats carefully mounted on the tail piece next to the reg plate, seizing it solid with said cack
And that anytime you crash, you'll need to write it off, because all the plastic bits will cost a zillion squids and the frame is all one piece, unlike most cheap bikes that have a main frame and a rear sub

It is fairly rare to bend the rear subframe, and bandit, GPZ, GS, GSF, loads of other noob bikes have integral rear frame so I wouldn't really consider this.

Liam I am curious as to why you didn't put these little nuggets of wisdom in the article?

Because I was extremely pressed for time and I was told to keep it short.

And I'm rubbish

ahh but if you did happen to have a woopsi, say the rear, on an SV for instance you could go on fleabay pick up a new subframe and get the bike back on the road. The Gladys wouldn't be so easy after a woopsi, bent single frame..write off. Its not the best welding on it either, tiz why its all hidden by that expensive plastic
Its just the way I see it through my slightly tight ar$e eyes.

The brakes on my SV are not poor at all, they are pretty good and do the job perfectly. I must have a different bike then.

And you'd have to pay for all those funky plastics. But I suppose the plastics could also help in a crash by protecting more important parts...

I've have ridden this one for a year now, over 6000 miles. I had a Harley Sportster before the SV for two years (12000 miles). Single disc a much heavier bike and levers needed real strength to pull them in. Now if you're talking poor brakes there I could agree. Before that a Kawasaki W650 and a GN125. I still have to get used to how quick and easy the front brake is. And rear brake is good too.

I really don't understand why - on an SV forum - we have to be so negative about our own bikes, what the forum is intended for. What are people doing here then if they don't like it????
