Some b**tard has just robbed my SV

Not sure which house, but apparently it's been vacant for a while and just used as a dumping ground - the SV was found with another bike that had been stolen.

It's in a bit of a mess but most likely repairable assuming it starts...

I'm trying to work out what i'll need but I don't really want to start buying stuff until I know the engine is ok...

I'll start a new thread in the SV tuning and tweaking section to cover what i'll need to get it back on the road.


It cost me a £150 "recovery fee" to get it released from the vehicle rescue centre, plus £57 delivery back home

The insurance company has already said they're not going to cover the theft as I neglected (forgot) to inform them of a change of address and therefore my policy is invalid

Basically, I've been shafted by the thieves, then by the insurance company, and now by the vehicle recovery centre... but at least i've got my SV back and hopefully she'll run again.

Given the fact that insurance have refused to pay out, you are lucky to get it back.

It looked so good before when I saw it. Could help but have a giggle at the "anti-theft warning" sticker in the first picture.

Haven't seen any silver curvies about (aside from mine), so if I see one parked up I'll see if I can get the frame number and PM you, just in case it's migrated to this side of the Pennines.
