And a YTX12-BS ordered for the Speed Triple. I'd have liked the YTZ14-BS but suspect that it won't fit in the battery compartment.

Update: Was ordered at around 4pm on Wednesday and arrived on Thursday. Very good, quick service, thanks.

Well the offer was on - I gave MDS a call and spoke to Mike (Debbie was of sick unfortunately!). Anyway, I ordered a YTZ14S-BS for £48 delivered and it was here within 24 hours.

Great service again, thanks MDS.

One slight problem though...

When I've activated the battery and left it for 30 minutes as instructed it's only lighting up 3 of the 4 lights on my Optimate?! I've put it on charge overnight and will report tomorrow how it gets on with a starting attempt.

Turns out it wasn't a problem. After a 24 hour spell on the optimate it was lighting up all 4 sections of the charger.

Started instantly when I pushed the starter button!

Glad Debbie is keeping everyone happy.

I have a couple of bits of good news.

Firstly I have a few YTR9-BS. These are a high powered version of the YTX9-BS. £39.99 to anyone interested.

Secondly I now have a pretty complete line of original OE Yuasa batteries in stock.

Prices will remain as before for the Varta ones, but you are getting a slightly better battery. eg Varta YTX12 has a rating of 90A EN where the Yuasa ones are 180 EN !!! Should turn over a tractor

My battery might be goosed.

Without having the bike to hand, can anyone tell me what battery I might need for a 2001 curvy?

Thanks!
