To compare like with like, you're probably looking at comparing a Busa with a Veyron - to pick the fastest 2 "production" vehicles. The busa beats the veyron to 100mph (just) but after that it gets owned.

To get to this conclusion i've taken figures from various pages on the internet, that reliable source, so I reserve the right to be totally wrong.

Ah but the busa costs around a 1/100 of what the veyron costs s if were comparing them in terms of cost then a fiat panda vs the busa?

Yeah I kinda already made that point earlier by saying that i'd be dead before i could save up enough money for a Porsche. So yes i agree. But we were talking about top speed here.

Still I would Pick the acceleration over the top speed any day, with cars being restricted to 155 at least over here(i think) a 600 super sport would have a better top end chances are get there faster. And depending on your stature the wind blast may not be a problem. Theres a guy here on a ZX6 he's about 5ft tall, he's always tucked behind the screen :] and of course a bike is more fun duhh

All this car v bike speed talk is assuming one thing - that the pilot is launching/changing at the right point to get the max from their vehicle. The limiting factor in these "races" is often the nut behind the wheel/bars as the figures and theory do not always decide the outcome. We've all tried it on at the lights against a fast car at some point, fluffed it somewhere and the car won - no matter what the claimed 0-60 time is...

All this bike vs car talk is lame, only talked about by those with small penises and feel the need to prove something.

Well one of the videos linked in the thread was a video of a car racing two bikes, If you don't want to read a discussion on a forum about which is quicker then there's a really simple solution, don't read it! And its even worse when your replying to it complaining. WTF is wrong with you, really
