There is a good reason why some people wish to keep it to themselves.

Me, i dont believe in any of it and like The WHite Rabbit said it makes no difference who gets in anyway imho, until they get in they say anything they think will win them votes. Once they're in they show their true side and just like the greedy pigs we see on telly daily now they go out their way to look after themselves for as long as they can.

I'd rather be happy in the knowledge that i didnt contribute in any way to the sham that is an election since in this country you dont ever vote for who you want (none of the parties say anything at all that appeals to me) but rather are expected to vote tactically to get rid of the one you dont want. To be replaced by one you didn't really want either. Whats the point?

Voted for a couple of independents in the local council who have been doing a suprisingly active job for the last few years (I won't necessarily say a "good" job but they do door knocking when there isn't an election on, and sorted me out some steel hoops next to the bike parking bays in town).

And Lib Dem in the Euros. They're ticking more boxes for me than the others.

I placed my X next to the candidate/party I found least odious. Rather like deciding what type of sh*t you want smeared in your face.

on my vote paper there was some Christian something or another party. I didn't vote for them, seemed a bit of a loon party. I looked at the English wotsit party...'Putting England First' and thought of them as some sort of clone BNP.

I'm not saying who I voted for. But it was none of the above. I don't think any of them deserved my vote, but someone had to have it.

The Government always get in anyway.

I voted, for the first time. Long list of people, though it was worth it as there was a BNP candidate to vote against. Sad that I was voting to keep somebody out, but at least i voted.

well I went and voted tonight, it helps that it's in our local pub! And I must admit that I've never seen so many people go and vote. Mr Lou and I sat outside with a pint after and there was a steady stream of people going in.
