Default Any West Sussex A272 users?

Hello all,
I wouldn't mind meeting up and going out for bike based jollies at some point. I work shifts, so not always around, but anyone who travels near Billingshurst in West Sussex, drop me a line! Any chilled out locals runs would be great.

Disclaimer: I must warn you though, I am a novice rider and really not that quick, so if you like the burn the place up, I'm probably not your best tag-along.

Nah, it's Guildford territory. Although the Thames Valley boys do seem to have a bit of a thing about (East) Sussex.

Yeah I sometimes go down the A272 for a fun ride. Love that road!
Do you know where Loomies cafe is?
Sometimes ride down the A272 (coming from woking) and stop there for lunch. I need to get my new bike sorted, but when that's on the road I'd be up for a meet and rideout around there. Don't mind if you're not the quickest rider, I'm not "fast" myself. I'll pop up a post in here or PM you when my bike's ready.

I know a lovely run from Loomies to Reading (or rather Reading to Loomies).. as long as you don't get stuck behind a sunday driver as most of it is double lined which I refuse to overtake on, my licence means too much..

If you come out of Loomies and turn left, so the shell garage is on your left and that pub thing is on your right, turn right at those traffic lights.. I think it's signposted for Petersfield? Lovely bit of road, very fast and sweeping.. be warned though when you get into the treed over area, some bad camber and downhill bends, also be careful of leaves after rain..

If there's enough space between the car and the line to squeeze through then AFAIK it's legal to overtake, just musn't cross or straddle the line

That's the way in that I ride. Very nice bit of road IMHO. The bit under the trees is one of the best bits if it's dry.

Quite often do rides on the A272, although tend to start at Loomies... A32/A272 junction. Might be doing that tomorrow actually.

Happy to meet for a rideout - drop us a line.
