Lol, to be fair I don't know what it costs you for insurance... I am guessing not *too* much. For me it's almost as bad as crashing a bike £985 when I renewed in April, that's with 3 years experience/3 years NCB/garaged/28 years old. Problem is, I'm in London lol...

Ouch, I'd definitely consider that to be high

I've been dealing with car insurance since I was 17 so four figure sums don't bat an eyelid, but my insurance would be about £400FC for a 675 now

But then I live in the **** end of nowhere...

Yeah I remember my car insurance like that lol. I suppose the 'other' problem is the type of bike I insure, to be fair (GSX-R750)!

my quotes were identical for the 675 or the 750, i was looking at a 750 when i bought the 675

i think, as you say, your problem is london, i'm lucky to be in a low crime area an have access to a garage...

Final update, TLW back up again...

Went to see the consultant this morning, had to wait a bit as every consultant in the fracture clinic wanted to see my hand, apparently the wiring operation the surgeon carried out is a fairly new and pretty difficult operation, and they all wanted to see how I was getting on, the answer to which was very well, they were all quite shocked how quickly I've recovered. Although it'll take another four weeks or so for the bone to heal completely I'm essentially back to full strength, seven weeks to the day from the accident

So hurrah, bike shopping next weekend
