Sorry guys, but I don't understand this bit about the roads around the H & H.

It's not as though it's the back of beyond - with the exception of Green Lane itself (even this isn't too bad) the pub is served by main roads all around - absolutely no different to The Hawk.

Definately much nicer ride than the A130! the only problem for me is that I don't think the NSLs are lit at night?? (I would be heading back through Latchingdon up towards Maldon) and my light isn't much good It wouldn't stop me coming though

I rode home friday night at 1am, and the ride was enjoyable, but very sedately paced.

full beam on most of the way and was no problem.

A few observations with regard to the previous posts
1. How often do we have a meeting if the weather is bad?

9.Quality and quantity of the food and service provided
10. Facilities i.e Toilets on ground level and place for the smokers amongst us
11. It may be further to reach for some but nearer or similar for others.

I am not saying it is ideal for everybody but if you want a suggestion for another venue that is on a main road,easy to find,with accommodation next door,there is the Pub and Premier Inn at Boreham on the main A12.

I have not predudicely singled out any individuals but made observations regarding comments made
and apologies in advance if I have caused offense
