having never made a claim i have question
following my little ding dong yesterday, it was my fault so bloke is claiming off my insurance, i am only TPFT so wont be claiming for my bike ![]() from what i can remember it was only paintwork damage to his car so would rather settle out of insurance to save my 3 yrs no claims |

look into it, if the repair is gonna cost a couple of hundred quid it will be worth it in the long run.

you only pay the XS if you claim, id try to settle out if you can and save that valuable NCD but saying that thats what insurance is for init? ive claimed twice now in the past 4 years and ain't really seen much increase in my premiums.

No, the excess is only in the if you claim, i.e. in the event of a fire or theft.

If its not protected then, you lose that too so yes your insurance will cost more when its pay up time. Its down to the dude you hit wanting his motor fixed hence the claim aginst your insurance ect. Its a ****ty thing howver it happens to us all, I have only smashed up one car since 17...just work on getting better the rest will sot its self out. Take care ![]() |
