Yeah they have softened the Blade out while not compromising on the engine or handling and it's so flipping light so very chuckable (not chuck down the roadable). The engine is mental but it's an easy bike to ride unlike a kwak or R1. That said the new R1 engine........ooh that noise even with stock pipes!

If you've never taken the sv to it's limits do you you think its wise to get something with a lot more power?...may be a wise move to get the the/your best out of the sv then upgrade,no point having that extra bhp/mph if your not/don't know how to use it properly IMO.

What's the reason for totally overlooking all of the SS 600s? Quote:
What do you mean by "better"? Faster on straights? Faster at cornering? What about things that are nothing to do with the actual bike you have - like smoothness, good road positioning, increased hazard perception, confidence etc? These are all components of a "better" rider, surely? But they have nothing to do with whether you're on a CG125 or a 'busa. I think the key thing is to work out whether the limitations / areas for improving are down to you as a rider, or the machine you're on. Becoming a 'better' rider may be something you just have to work on. But if you're looking for a new bike because you fancy a change and want to have some fun on something else, then why not? Also, test ride lots of different bikes - including some 'wild card' ones you think you don't want. Then when you find the right one, you'll have peace of mind that you've made an informed purchase. Just some thoughts! |
