Dunno if it was just me but I was actually thinking they looked a bit choppy, I *think* it was cos the camera bike wasn't taking any lines, they just stayed in the middle of the road, it made it look like they were all over the shop cos it wasn't flowing, etc since the lead bike was going back and forth across the screen in front of the camera bike!

Personally I thought the actual riding was pretty rubbish, the rider on the camera bike in particular isn't very smooth, especially with his throttle and the pair of them are riding what they know, rather than what they can see. Great while it lasts, unfortunately it often doesn't!

Good common sense point people, I only crashed once, it was doing this. The fact it was on a chicken-chaser not an R1, beside the point. It still hurt.

It is an R1 if YouTube is to be believed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NXOC5aA180

I've been looking for similar clips riding the Alps with no joy. Can somebody post some links of fast bends in the Alps?

one of the main things i am always thinking (worried) about when riding fast on roads that i know well, is whether or not there will be a bloody cow or tractor round the next corner!!

I was once following DMC, ppossibly on the 1st or 2nd willingham rideout, came around a bend and a caravan was across the entire road.

One thing is for sure, they clearly know the road like the back of ther hands.

The road looks nice but there not enough undulating for me, it's all abit flat. Compared to roads like the dragons tail in the US it's nothing.

I just watched it again and those guys are totally and utterly mad!

They average 160kph(100mph) through the bends topping out at 294kph(184mph) on one section and at most they look to have about 2 or 3 bike-lengths between them. Overtaking on blind bends as well!

I'm glad I ride like a girl and save the speed and carp for the odd trackday...

Mind you I've seen similar performances on an AR as well but hey ho, each to their own I say

Don't think the object of this thread was to turn into an advanced riding lesson but one of the golden rules when road riding is to always be able to stop on your side of the road in the distance you can see to be clear. Anybody who breaks that is playing a lottery, and you only need to lose once....

Popular road that Dragon's tail -- and crowded. Very scenic... the Harley Riders sure love it!
