Title says it all really, apart from being broken down on the slip road of J22 M6 I was on a test flight and noticed a couple of things, the first being a nice pool of oil collecting under the bike, this is simple it's the clutch cover that every time I try and fix I make it worse. The second was a very small leak and from the rear brake bleed nipple.
Now what to do about it??? It's torqued to the 7.5nm but should I:
Many thanks for the input |

try releasing it a few times then tighten it to torque, it should be ok.
if not get a new one. |

PTFE tape will not work. Bleed nipples seal on the cone on the end, not the threads.
I'd agree with rotax.

Good morning all.
If you have any corrosion on the tip of the bleed nipple you can get a leak. Take it out, & wire brush the tip (sounds painful). The see how it goes. It'll help if you have an M7x1mm bolt with some PTFE tape around it to insert into the nipple threads to stop it leaking while you do the above. Cheers. |

Or just hang something off the lever, you will lose a little bit of fluid but will close the transfer port so it doesn't dump the whole contents of the reservoir.

Excellent thanks, are the bleed nipples at the front and rear the same size? I have a few kicking around so I could stick in one of them if they are?

Good evening all.
Somewhat correcting my earlier post ahem! If your bike is a Curvy all the bleed nipples will have a 7x1mm thread. If you have a Pointy, the front calipers will have a 7x1mm thread. The rear will be an 8x1.25mm thread. Cheers. |
