Van- how secure can you get them in the back??

-I've been fine with hire vans and a rope when I bought my GSXR and it was fine

Trailer - Would be a bit sh*t if it get soaked all the way back.

- Just give it a wash when it gets home!

Alot of hire places board the floor and sides of the van over, stops the metalwork being damaged.

All the vans I've hired have been like that, except that the left cut outs so you could get at the anchor points on the floor still.

Agreed on the hire van plus ratchet straps, its the way we've always done it. Scaffolding plank or something similar is also handy as you can use that as a ramp to get the bike in and out.

Be careful if using shiply thoughy. I tried it once and just got robbed. Paid a deposit and heard nothing ever again. At least he didn't get a chance to bugger off with my bike.

I used a van to collect my 125, although the company had run out of small vans and gave us a huge truck at the same cost. That thing was amazing and the bike looked like a model bike in the back!

Recently I broke down and Carol came down with her Band's trailer. They use for transporting the gig kit to venues and it is full of lashing points and the like. I had to take the mirrors off, but it was nice and dry in there and travelled very well.

I would happily use either again, even with the SV. However, I know that Carol is a first rate driver and can handle a trailer well. If I was driving, I would pay a company to deliver it!

Well, just screw something down that you can attach straps/rope with! Like a cupboard door handle or something. Just don't forget to remove them when taking the van back.
