Passed the CBT on Friday. Been waiting for the insurance to come through, went out on it last night and that's it

Ahh, older than me so when are you planning on taking your full test? I'm hopefully doing mine in the next 4 weeks.

Well the original plan was to try and fit in as much practice as possible on the 125 and then try and get the full bike test done before the end of May, when my theory test runs out, took it 2 years ago when I first wanted to ride However, it looks like that;s not going to happen as I have a month's voluntary placement starting next week so I won't be anywhere near as practiced as I want to be. Never mind though, for the sake of 30 quid I'd rather sit back and enjoy the summer in slow mo haha

Ahh, fair enough. The Theory was an interesting part of the journey for me. Did it with two mates of mine, one of us failed which made for an awkward drink afterwards as he was very annoyed lol. I've got almost a year under my belt on a CBT so I'm pretty confident for my test but I don't want to be too confident ofc. As you said, sit back and enjoy the summer. Better to have to spend £30 on another theory than risk failing and having to spend much more.

Well if its any use, I rode around for a year on the 125 before going in for the DAS training. IMO it'll be worth you waiting and taking your time before doing the same.
Get nowhere for rushing apart from yer knickers in a twist
Nowt wrong with doing summer on a 125, I passed my CBT in the August, and the following year to the day passed the DAS, was a bit weird that one..lol.

Well worth doing DAS, I'd say - none of this lurking about on 33bhp, having to produce certificates and all that nonsense. Downside is that you'd have to do lessons to get used to the bigger bike, as they don't let people on the road on the mighty power of a CB500 without professional supervision.
