We're a mercenary lot - not one of us voted to stay put.

I'm baffled and haven't found out the reason yet.

... Its going to be an interesting weekend.

Mate take her a journey to the slumiest part of your town and let her see that it could end up becoming a reality if this move doesn't go ahead. The way things are going in this country its gonna get worse so if there's a chance you can safeguard your familys future grab it-failing that trade in for a newer more upto date younger model.

Do it, and do it now.

I've moved for a better job 3 times, each time well over 100 miles, NO regrets.
Thats even though the last move led me to a company that eventually closed down and I was made redundent. That does not stop it being the right decision at the time, and who knows what would have happened if I had stayed put.

We were in this position, I could have added about another £40,000/year to my salary by moving to China for a couple of years. But because of the wife's health I had to turn it down.

If I had been on my own, the house would have been rented out and I would have been off. I have even had to turn down jobs in the UK that required me to relocate as we cannot afford for Lynne to have to change her consultants.

Fuk sake !! I`ve been looking for a proper job again for over a year and am stuck ****in around trying to make a few quid every week to pay bills. I seriously would kill for a reasonably paid job never mind 5-7k a month !!!! Do you realise how much of a massive wage that actaully is ? 60k a year min.

I really don`t see what all the fuss is about, surely its a no brainer, move. End of.

Berlin, if your partner doesn't want to move up north with you, mine says she'd be up for it

Well, she's not moving. No way. No how. She'd rather split up.

I've never dared ask "Its Me or the Horse" because I know the answer but never thought it would be "Me or the house".

Decisions, decisions!
