Default SV650 42mm Throttle bodies (bored out)

Evening all,

Firstly Im not a trader/business owner. Just an amatuer racer

Im in a position to supply 42mm bored out throttle bodies on an exchange basis for injected Suzuki SV650`s. Ive been working in conjuction with my buddy who owns an engineering firm (and is an ex-TT 2 stroke racer) and also with Ronan Pentony of www.rpmcycles.ie to get these developed and manufactured.

Ronan is a respected SV tuner here in Ireland as well as a competitor on the roads on his SV650 and GSXR750 most recently taking 3rd at last weekends Killalane road races on his SV650 and being only half a second outside the lap record. Ronan has allowed me dyno time at his business to get these setup and sorted on my bike as well as testing them on various SV engines of his own,all in a different state of tune with proven results on each test, most notably in the mid range and torque figures. He is willing to help anybody out with advice relating to these.

Now the important part. These are on an exchange basis so you send me yours and ill post them back to you fully reassembled, bored out to 42mm complete with new 42mm butteflies. The secondary throttle valve mechanism will be removed from the bike and the remaining holes blanked up (these can be removed again if necessary). Removing the STV will give you a flashing FI light on your dash. This can be corrected with an STV simulator or in my case I left it alone as it does not bother me. All the parts that were removed will also be returned to you.

The price for everything is £250 including return postage to the UK. I can be contacted here or drop me a mail to: oasracing at gmail dot com

Thanks,
Tommy

So actually it doesn't tell you anything about what change the TBs made?

Not direct comparison between 39 and 42 on that chart but what I have seen consistently is about 3-4hp depending on engine configuration.

Well I didnt get 6bhp from a Power Commander man.......My bike had an unknown power figure before I brought it to Ronan for the dyno run. It was never ran in standard form.

The bike Ronan was out on at Killalane last weekend had 85bhp and with the throttle bodies he saw a 3.5 bhp gain to get to the 85bhp. He has more info than me of what power they make. I just wanted my bike sorted so I fitted everything, brought it to him and we took it from there.
