Default Ride dahn Sarf.

Scottoiler on, new rear Maxxis Supermax fitted, carbs balanced and tankbag packed. Off for a 500 mile round trip to visit an old friend in S. Kent tomorrow morning early. Coming back on Wednesday. Cr@p weather forecast but I don't care - it's my first decent length ride of the year and I'm looking forward to it!

Mind you, when I'm half way down the A14/M11 doing battle with the lorries and blinded by spray I may regret saying that!

The average speed camera section sucks as well, for some reason everyone thinks 50mph is the new limit there...

Have fun. Watch out if you're in the fast lane coming to the m25 turn off, there is what I can only describe as a deceptively shallow looking puddle there that WIll kick your back end out at anything over 70, even on 4 wheels.

I'm not touching the M25, I'm going to Tilbury and crossing the Thames on that great little ferry that goes between there and Gravesend. No cars, just foot passengers, bicycles, push chairs and my motorbike!

if you are heading along the road from grays to tilbury Asda - (ferry crossing) they have change the speed limit from a nsl to 40 ish.

Its free to go over the dartford bridge for bikes.
