Now my problemo is im lanky and my bike is small lol
Do rear sets actually make any diffrence as you can only really move the position a couple on inches ?? or will it make a big diffrence. basically i just want a bit more comfort, as much as possible on a sportsbike ![]() |

I always thought aftermarket rearsets moved the pegs higher and further back. The opposite of what a person of considerable more length than me would need.

If they have adjuster plates you can just switch them from one rearset to the other so they adjust downwards rather than upwards...in other words so the adjuster plates are wrong way up on wrong side. You may have ground clearance issues if you ride hard though and may have to factor in a jack up kit or longer shock from a gsxr or sumin...

rearsets are designed traditionally for a higher footpeg position, but as said some can be manipulated to go down and back, but this isn't the best solution if comfort is your goal for two main reasons, firstly the cost, the most adjustable rearsets are generally the most expensive, and secondly they remove the rubber footpeg itself and you end up with a fixed metal one, which transmits more vibration.
If all you want is a more relaxed position then either drop plates or something like this would do a better and cheaper job; retaining the original footpeg in the process. Cheers Mark.

Can I suggest an alternative, which is the way i went. You can get riser plates for most sports bikes, including Gixxers. But instead of using them as risers, use them upside down to give you more leg room. Foot pegs and foot controls stay in the same plane. There's various holes where to bolt the pegs to. Might need to file them a wee bit to fit upside down, but IMHO these are safer than the other option. But thats just my opinion Do a search on Ebay for riser plates and it'll throw up a few choices
