Hello mate,
well i'm healing-getting better every day-but it's soooo slow!!!
Last week I started doing gym sessions with the physio and i'm back to work part time!
Yes, when I was talking to Max at East Fortune I was thinking of getting back into trials-it's sooo much cheaper and I never had 16 fractures in any trials crash!!!!
Then again-I definately got a bit of a buzz at East Fortune, and I mean Connor Cummins was racing at the TT this week and look what happened to him exactly 12 months ago!!
I suppose at the mo I really dont know what to do!!
If I was to get back to racing-and I still like the idea of Minitwins-low budget etc. Only trouble is-if NEMCRC haven't got the class regulated-and nothing had changed at EF, I might not bother with them and try a Bemsee meeting!
How's tricks with you?

It was 50% of the reason. East fortune was worse than Croft !!

Plus, there's just no one racing anymore. All the Minitwin lads have gone.

Found someone that wanted to buy it at the EF meeting, so it was sold that day and i didn't even race......

danny,if your looking for a minitwin ready to race with lots of spares, check out my bike in the for sale section, bike is mint and well maintained, runner up in the northeast championship last season, its not tuned or breaking any minitwin rules as most of the people on this forrum think my bike is! you just have to learn how to ride a small V twin quick .................

Well the list as i see it is

Gordon
Max
Alan
Carl
Mike
Tony

It's like, most of the Minitwin riders that made the meeting.

Ef was easily ran worse than Croft. 2 Q laps !!!

The Minitwins were not getting checked. I looked at the ones that were ilegal and asking if it had been highlighted to them. I'll let you guess the answer.....

I do not hold it against anyone walking out the Minitwin classes in the North, EF is a total joke for cheating. There is two of ex Dave Bell bikes running up there.

Croft actually was the deciding factor for me. Apart for the 2-stoke chaos (which was out and out dangerous) the U-L class is too big and the Minitwins seemed to be in the minority. The Auto66 way of running it was far more effective but also flawed.

Was the East Fortune the North East or the Melville?

Good to here mate.
I may join you on trials circuit at some point.

The minitwin concept (i don't anyone would dispute this) is good, but unregulated up here and rules ambigious in places.

I would do minitwins if Besmee was further north.
I'm not bad just working hard with a new job... AGAIN!

i know what you mean about the 2lap qualifiying,if it wasnt red flaged it would of went on,plus there wasnt any time to run it again,

tony...injured

max....skint

gordon....???

carl.... working away

alan.... did the sunday

dave bell...600

mike.dont know who he is!!

as for two of davey bell's bikes running up at ef!! rubbish, even if there were, his bike last year yes had kent cams in for the manx, all the other ones were stock with a power commander on, if your taliking about mike minns on his er6 up there,it eas a road bike on the thursday before ef,it had standard down pipes on,a home made end can + road gearing!! ive suggested at the club that the UL is scrapped next season and anyone wanting to have a modified minitwin go's in the thunderbikes, i cant do it on my own, instead of people winging on'on this forum.come along to the club on a thusday night and lets get it sorted!! i'm going this thursday and im going to sort a thursday in the next few weeks to address this UL farce once and for all, if anyone thinks this is a good idea let me know please...

Hi Toot and Andy,
thanks for those comments-wise words indeed!!
I just wanted to add a couple of points...
1. I'm sure that Dave Mallon may be an experienced and competant Technical Inspector, but i'd love to know how he intends to measure BHP with his bare hands??!!
2. What he needs is the full list of Minitwin regulations and then-and surely only then, the class will possibly become properly regulated.
3. Hopefully when I get back to racing-still got my bike!! I'd rather spend a bit extra to race with Bemsee on a level playing field if the North East club hasn't got the class sorted!!
4. Surely if the cost of everyone not racing entry fees were added up, the club could finance a dyno no probs??
5. I sooo enjoyed myself racing with all you guys last season!! Hopefully one day we can get back to those 'laugh a minute' days!!
Surely in this 'Age of Austerity' it should be the Minitwin class that's bursting at the seams??
6. How about we try and arrange a night to meet at the club and highlight our issues with the officials??

Hope to see some of you at the Knockhill meeting.
