I knew it would be you Chris. OK, they are a bit carp but can be fun sometimes, I know , hard to believe (and it helps if you have access to another bike as well)

I reckoned it was a right laugh to ride our lasses' YBR125 but it doesn't mean they're much use.
Fair enough the crap handling means you're on the limits of it all the time... but why not just let 20psi out of the tyres of a proper bike for the same effect?

Difference is YBR's/CGs/etc are ace for getting to work on if it's 10 miles or so... I can't think of a single thing a cruiser does better than anything else? Posing?

but you are wrong - there's also the safety aspect. No brakes or suspension and high walled tyres do make you slow down and think ahead a bit more, and sometimes walk instead.... so has health benefits too.

Right, it's 1;30 so time for a quick polish of the air filter and off to bed

Why not stick up a pic of your SV, you might generate a bit interest from the ORG and not need to worry about px'ing

Guess I'm a Numpty for thinking I could get some of that back. We'll see how generous Honda are feeling at the end of the month when they need to shift stock. I live in hope...
One thing that seems to be a trend with px's, 'extras' don't add much value so strip all the goodies off first and sell them separate, you'll make a few quid more then with a bit of luck.

to the orgs great hilarity and jibs i do indeed love the look of cruisers and am have one custom built myself
but 10 grand for what your looking at is ott tbh,
as i said im having one built, to my specs ( im 6,8") after a months worth of chatting with the designer telling him what i want and like etc, being shown mock ups, now cad designs, and its costing me 5 grand with a max of 2 grand more if i start wanting major gucci extras fired on, so thats practically half the price of that generic bike your looking at
imho if your wanting a "custom crusier" get your own built dont buy off the peg as it were

hth

I'm with Dave and the Op on this one. Bikes are an individual thing and riding is about many sensations, it's not always about being the fastest with the best handling possible. They're a bit like clothing. We don't always dress warm and sensible do we?

I also agree with the view that for the money you could have something really individual made just for you, maybe not quite in OCC territory but nevertheless unique.
